Cozy stay with nice breakfast
We had a decent time here. The cooked breakfast was def a highlight, super tasty! Staff were friendly, always checking in. But we noticed the heating wasn't great in the hall, it felt a bit chilly at times. It's a nice spot for a weekend getaway with lovely grounds and a cozy bar area.

gorgeous historical building, charming grounds for events, large function rooms for conferences
Room lighting dull!!! Shower doors sticking and troublesome!!! The outdated decor screams for a refresh!!! Visitors may feel let down without suitable temperature control or consistent cleaning standards!!! Simple navigation could be improved with better signage!!!

We had a great time with friends exploring the local area, visiting the dock and enjoying some fantastic themed events. The ambiance was lively, and the staff were friendly. The food was top-notch, with fresh meals and quick service. Just a heads up, the parking can get crowded during events, so plan ahead!
The breakfast experience had some hiccups, as the waiter was a bit overwhelmed and mixed up orders. It was a minor annoyance in an otherwise enjoyable stay.

The large bedroom was clean and modern, with a massive bathroom featuring both a bath and a shower. While the dog-friendly atmosphere was commendable, the check-in process was chaotic with incorrect room bookings, and the promised dog amenities were missing initially. Despite these minor hiccups, the staff were friendly and accommodating, providing a relaxing bar area outside of events. The evening meal was excellent, and breakfast included delicious poached eggs, rounding off a pleasant experience.
